THE FAR SIDE OF PAPER DOLLS with DORANN NELSON
Crafting personas from innovative mixed media techniques. In this 2-day class, mixed techniques including transferring images, stenciling and assemblage techniques will be explored. completed examples will be displayed. Students will be able to refer to Lynne Perrella’s book, “Beyond Paper Dolls” for inspiration.
Students are asked to bring scissors and glue. Kits will include images, fabric trims/snippets, and ephemera. Scrapbooking materials/papers will be provided.

CREATE A GNOME USING NEEDLE FELTING with IRENE HECKEL-VOLPE
Come and create a cute (or maybe not so cute!) gnome character for yourself or that special someone. This workshop is a great way to practice the use of shapes and colors to create your character in an inspirational group setting of like-minded felters.

LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE with LESLEY KEEBLE
Learn to create a character face that will make you smile every time you see it! Join Lesley to make a simple paperclay head with a cloth covering over the face. Students will create a delightful 6-8″ stump doll, costumed with simple clay hands, and a variety of fabrics and trims.

NEEDLE FELTING AN APPLE WITH CHARACTER with IRENE HECKEL-VOLPE
Just in time for apple season! Learn to needle felt an apple using different shades of green and red; then add a “face” to give it some personality. Great way to introduce yourself to the art of needle felted sculpture

A BRUSH WITH CREATIVITY with KAREN HAWKINS
